Ameena currently helps manage digital programs for House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene.
Previously, Ameena served as a Digital Content Strategist on the Colin Allred for U.S. Senate campaign, where she oversaw the campaign’s online community engagement strategy and co-ran the state’s first-ever digital distributed organizing program across all 254 Texas counties.
Additionally, Ameena helped manage email and SMS production for the National Immigration Law Center, Immigrant Justice Fund, and Senator Tammy Baldwin. She was also a member of the digital communications team at the Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus during the 2023 cycle, helping Virginia Senate Democrats reclaim its Senate majority.
Before working in politics, Ameena started her career in journalism as an online editor at the Des Moines Register during the 2016 Iowa caucuses and presidential election cycle. She earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from Texas Southern University and a master’s in data analytics from the University of Houston-Downtown. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering in her community.
